What a first few weeks it has been here in Harpenden, England. Week 1 was Orientation and an intense camp which pushed us to our limits in order to prepare us for the extremes of outreach. I loved every minute of it and have learned so much from the camp.
Since then it has been a very busy schedule of studies, Family, serving, projects, preparation and insight into what we can expect at our outreach location.
One highlight for myself personally was a group project. We got to present chapters 1-5 of the book ” Is that really you God”, by Loren Cunningham. Because of my passion for film directing, it was clear to me that our presentation would be a short film.

So what is next from now? Right now a different speaker teaches us on a different topic each week and parallel to that we have outreach prep.
Where will our outreach location be? It will be in Lesvos(Lesbos), Greece.
This is the team we are traveling with .
We will be partnering with the “Next Wave” ship that will be docked in Lesvos for the time of our outreach. We will be assisting the local Government, Churches, and Projects in helping the refugees on the Island.

To this day an average of 700 refugees still make the journey by boat from Turkey to the Island. Thousands of people are stuck without hope, in large camps with the everyday reality of an unknown future. They are seen by many, as people who are just there for a free ride, money, and housing, this is not the case!
We aim to start a campaign in the time that we are in Lesvos to show the world the real side of the refugees, that they are people #justlikeus. We want you to join us on this journey. To be apart of the change. To be a part of helping those in need.
We cannot do this without you. We firstly want to thank our sponsors who have been with us from the beginning. We have had the opportunity to come this far only because of you believing in us and partnering with us on this mission. This is only the beginning.
We would love for you or your company to partner with us as we still need the finances to get to Lesvos, for the time duration in Lesvos, camera equipment, editing laptop, ( as the one we bought for 30 pounds is not at all capable of running the software needed to edit videos or photos), in order to bring their stories to the world. Melissa and the Kids will not be joining on Outreach other than a visit, (if financially possible). Currently after much time in prayer and considering all aspects we see it best for the children to stay in Harpenden with Melissa. The Kids have found a few friends here and wish to do Homeschooling and stay put till we leave “The Oval” till our next “Adventure Mission Kona Hawaii”.(We plan to depart at the end of March, Dales application has been submitted for the Film School which is lined up, and is a secondary school within the Degree Program. This school runs at the UofN in Kona).
Within this time of me being gone in Lesvos, Melissa will be fundraising and carrying on with her artistic or her journalistic projects, blog writing and Homeschooling our children. This won’t be an easy time for us as a family, so much prayer is needed but this is where we have peace to both accomplish the tasks that God has given us.

If you know of anyone who wants to advertise their business on our website and therefore wishes to donate a sum to us or support us monthly to advertise for them. Then please bring them into contact with us. There are always ways to help another, one hand washes the other, right ?!

She has come to a point where she can soon start earning a small side income. This has taken her almost a year with many late nights. Share our NEWS to your media channels, be it per Whatsapp, Facebook or Instagram. It costs you nothing but it shows the web that something interesting is going on. This boosts our website and brings more traffic to it, therefore people that may be willing to support us monthly or donate towards our projects.
So as you can see there are a few things that can help us without you doing much at all. But this would help change our world in a big way!
We have new missionary friends with children and the way it works for them is that their churches support them monthly. We don’t have this, we have private people and the odd person from church. But like a friend of ours said that if all our friends in church and outside would support us with only a small amount, like 5-10 Euro monthly, then we would be sorted. This is our long-term goal, right now we have 8 supporters that have gotten us through 4 months, and we used all our savings to cover the missing amount. Now we are just managing to pay my school fees off and our monthly housing and food costs. There is no extra money, but we are happy. We know that God is faithful and we have everything to meet our daily needs, but we need to be wise stewards and give our plans unto God and ask for help. Our faith is stretched but it is a beautiful stretch, a stretch before a good workout is not comfortable but it brings great results, muscle and bone prevention. So we are humbled and stretched, ready for the next workout.
